The synergy at A6 is contagious. Walk in the door and you will find artists at work, presses rolling, contemporary artwork in the gallery, and a spirit of camaraderie, collaboration, volunteerism, and experimentation. A6 is a place for artists, teachers, and students to learn, exhibit, connect, and grow. Membership has its benefits!

Effective September 1, 2014

Extended Studio Access

Daily access to a professional print studio (outside of scheduled classes 
and holidays).

Monday-Friday 9:30 am–9 pm
Saturday 9 am–7 pm
Sunday 12 pm–5 pm

Professional Facility

  • Two large etching presses
  • Large motorized press for solar plates
  • Relief and intaglio tools
  • General studio supplies (water-based inks, rags, blotting towels).
  • Letterpress equipment (with supervision), including two clamshell presses and more than 
20 trays of antique type.

Class Discounts

20% discount on all A6 classes. Discount applies to class fee only, not materials or model fees.

Free Critiques & Demos

Member Critiques (on the 2nd Tuesday of each month) offer members the opportunity for group feedback.

Working Questions (on the 4th Tuesday of each month) offer studio demonstrations and discussions on professional topics.

Higher Consignments 
& Sales Opportunities

  • 60% commission on work sold at A6. (Non-members receive 50%.)
  • Exclusive representation in the A6 print bins. Members may stock up to five prints at any given time.

Professional Promotion

A6 features an Artist Member at work (drawing, printing, or book-making) in the studio area during the First Friday Gallery Walk.

A6 also features Artist Members on the A6 website.

Exhibit Opportunities

  • Juried members-only exhibit each December.
  • Featured Member exhibits in the gallery entrance.
  • Juried themed exhibits (open call) to local and regional artists.
  • Solo and small group member exhibits in the main gallery (as the exhibit calendar allows). Members must present a cohesive body of work on a fully-developed idea and participate in critiques in order to be considered.
Dues & Requirements
  • $80 monthly dues (6-month commitment)
  • New members must first complete a Studio Orientation session ($25)
  • Members with little printmaking experience are encouraged to take classes to advance their knowledge and technical skill.
  • Artist Members are asked to become a Friend of A6 ($40/year; tax-deductible).
